Saturday 7th March

The Crunch – Free Bulky Waste Drop-Off Event @Basildon from 9am – 12:30pm. Multiple locations across Basildon borough.
One of Basildon’s most popular community recycling events returns for 2026. Residents can drop off unwanted bulky household items for free while helping boost recycling across the borough.

• Basildon – George Hurd Centre
• Laindon – Hoover Drive (off Durham Road)
• Pitsea – Malyons, Felmores

Langdon Birdwatching for Beginners @ Langdon Nature Discovery Park 10:30am - 12:30pm

Learn the basics of birdwatching at this walk, including how to identify birds and common bird song, and use binoculars. This walk will be led by ranger Liam. Please bring your own binoculars and wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Be advised there will be uphill walking.
