Lighting up the pitch for Basildon’s young footballers
Basildon Council has awarded £4,452 to 121 Football Club to help young players train all winter long at Ghyllgrove School. The funding will buy six portable floodlights, keeping 85 local children aged 6–15 active, social and confident.
Fireworks Waste & Safety Update
As Bonfire Night winds down, help keep Basildon clean and safe. Soak used fireworks & sparklers in water for 24 hours before bagging and binning (in general waste). Return unused fireworks to retailers, or soak for 48 hours before disposal.
