Streetlights Are Coming Back On
After years of concerns, Basildon Council has approved the full return of overnight street lighting across the borough to improve safety, cut down on crime, and support shift workers. Final plans with Essex County Council are underway.. the council says we should expect brighter nights soon at the cost of "£120K/year (according to BBC Essex)
Armed Forces Day Parade is on Saturday 28 June

London Gateway Freeport Community Investment Fund Small Grants Fund is now open for applications for local projects between £10,000 and £50,000.
