What's New in our area?
Waterstones is coming to Eastgate
What better news to get on World Book day, than the news that Waterstones is coming to Basildon? The new store, located in Eastgate Shopping Centre, should open at the end of April and will feature everything from children’s books to the latest bestsellers. Can’t wait!
The waste service is changing (again)
Starting Monday 10 March, you’ll get two rolls of brand-new waste and recycling bags—but don’t crack them open just yet! Hold off until Monday 28 April, when the new collection service begins. After that, those old recycling sacks won’t be collected anymore!
From 28 April you get…
✅ Weekly non-recyclable waste collection no more waiting two weeks!
✅ New disposable white & blue bags for dry recycling. More info on the council site: www.basildon.gov.uk/wastechanges
