Weather in Basildon this week

According to the Met Office weather forecast, it looks like a mixed but mostly nice week ahead. We’ll get a couple of light showers midweek and again on Friday, but nothing too heavy.

Hollands Pond – New Dipping Platform (thanks to funding!)
Great news! A brand new pond dipping platform is now open at Hollands Pond, Langdon Nature Discovery Park, thanks to funding from Veolia & New Holland Tractor Plant. Visitors can once again explore pond wildlife like newts, dragonflies, and freshwater shrimp. Pond dipping sessions will run during the Easter holidays. Book here

New Planters at Tresco Way
New planters have been installed outside Abacus School on Tresco Way to prevent vehicles damaging grass verges. Funded by the Town Council, with planting coming soon thanks to support from local volunteers.

New Signage at Willow Park
Visitors to Willow Park can now enjoy 21 new signs across the reserve, sharing information about habitats, wildlife, and local history. Funded by Veolia, the signs aim to enrich your visit whether arriving by car or enjoying a scenic walk.

Laceys Boutique Opening at Basildon Market
A new trader is arriving at Basildon Market 🎉 Laceys Boutique opens 31st March at K22, offering stylish clothing for kids and babies. The first 10 customers on opening day will receive a free goodie bag, so don’t miss out!
